VIENNA TWP., Ohio - Firefighters are sometimes called out to handle incidents other than burning structures or traffic accidents.

One example is the exploding toilet incident along the borderline of Vienna and Howland townships in Trumbull County.

Police were called to the normally quiet neighborhood in the 2200 block of Henn Hyde Road when a neighbor reported hearing a loud explosion.

Officers found the pieces of a shattered toilet on the road between Hunt Club Trail and Hampton Run NE.

Fire crews swept the sharp shards off the road so no one would get a flat tire.

Police are trying to determine if someone may have set off a large firecracker in the toilet as a prank.
