YOUNGSTOWN - A Youngstown man has been charged with causing the death of an unborn baby during a police chase.
A grand jury in Mahoning County has handed up an indictment charging 26-year-old Damon Cobb with Aggravated Vehicular Homicide, Vehicular Assault, Failure to Comply with the order of a Police Officer, and Obstructing Justice.
According to the indictment, Cobb was involved in a pursuit with Youngstown Police on May 27 that resulted in a crash injuring Katrina Betts and causing her pregnancy to be terminated.
Betts also had no driver’s license at the time of the chase, according to the indictment.
A warrant has been issued for Cobb’s arrest.
