Crews continue to restore power to communities in Mercer Co.

Clean-up efforts have started to take place as storms ripped through Mercer County yesterday afternoon.
There was extensive damage leftover and thousands were left without power due to trees falling on powerlines.
"I was driving home and my wife called me and said that two big trees fell in our yard and we lost power," said John Murcko of Transfer.
Murcko said he out a refrigerator on his porch and the wind blew it to the other side.
Over 5,000 customers of FirstEnergy were without power after the storms hit. That number has now fallen to just 270 as of 6 pm. "Crews continue to work around the clock to restore power as Mercer County was our hardest-hit area," said Lauren Siburkis, spokesperson for FirstEnergy.
Radar estimated wind gusts reached upwards of 60 mph yesterday and it even caused a tree to fall onto a home in Greenville.
Luckily nobody was home at the time, but a car was totaled and severe damage to the house.

Due to the extensive damage, First Energy launched an all-hands-on-deck effort and even called in extra resources to help restore power to the communities.
FirstEnergy expects to have power fully restored to the majority of their customers by 11 pm tonight.
