Warren police find toddler on lap of driver passed-out in running car

WARREN, Ohio - Police say they found a toddler on the lap of a man passed out behind the wheel of a running car in Warren.
Robert Gore, 58, was charged with child endangering on Wednesday after officers say they found him before 6 a.m. in the driveway of a motel along Youngstown Road SE.
Gore’s foot was on the brake of the car, which police say was in gear.
On Gore’s lap was a 14-month-old child. Near the child’s feed, on the car’s console was a knotted baggie of a beige powder, according to police.
An officer grabbed the child from the car and gave Gore a nasal dose of the opioid reversal drug Narcan.
Gore regained consciousness by the time an ambulance arrived and was taken to St. Joseph Hospital before being transferred to the county jail.
The report states that Gore and the child have the same last name but does not disclose the relationship between the two.
The child has been turned over to the care of a relative.
Gore was scheduled to answer the child endangering charge in Warren Municipal Court on Thursday.
Police say the suspected drugs will be tested in a state lab.
