Two women, man hospitalized after shooting on Youngstown's south side
Three people are hospitalized after a shooting early Sunday morning on Youngstown's south side.
The shooting happened around 2:50 a.m. near Miss Daisy's Place on the 2200 block of South Avenue.
Youngstown Police say three people were found shot inside the business.
Police tell 21 News that two women, a 33-year-old and a 20-year old, and a 24-year-old man were shot and taken to St. Elizabeth's hospital.
One of those victims was undergoing surgery and the conditions of the other two are unclear.
At the same time, police took another person into custody at the scene for a different reason. That suspect managed to escape police custody and took off on foot.
It's not known if police were able to catch up with that person.
No arrests have been made in connection to the shooting at this time.
