LOWELLVILLE, Ohio - The Village of Lowellville is set to receive a grant of $456,800 to fund the McGaffney Road Expansion Project.

Lowellville plans to add 0.12 mile of roadway extension to McGaffney Road for access to an industrial-zoned development.

The project will create at least 20 full time jobs in the development site and leverage $126 million in private investment.

Grant funding was made available through the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC).

Lowellville will add another $48,794 to the project, making the total project funding $505,594.

"This is Phase 2 of the McGaffney Road Industrial Park roadway that will make the former Sharon Steel Mill (350 acres) property marketable for considerable commercial, industrial, and even mix use development growth," said Lowellville Mayor James Iudiciani, Sr.
