One man is dead following a fatal house fire in Sebring.

The fire happened Saturday night around 10 p.m. at a home at 447 West New York Avenue.

Sebring Fire Chief Michael Springer told 21 News that the fire started in the living room but the cause is still undetermined.

A train passing through the area slowed the fire department's response to the home.

Chief Springer said a train was moving through Sebring at the time, blocking three different paths to the home.

The home is a total loss according to Springer.

The victim's identity has not been released.
