Warren Police investigate weekend of gun violence

WARREN, Ohio - Police are investigating several reports of gun violence in Warren over the weekend.
One man told police he was driving along the 1000 block of Homewood SE at around 1:30 a.m. Saturday when several men jumped out of a car in front of him and began firing shots.
Although the man told police he didn’t believe he was the intended target, he heard objects striking his car, so placed the car in reverse and backed away.
When he got home, he found he had two flat tires and a bullet hole in his radiator.
Police found several shell casings at the shooting location.
Around 3:30 a.m. Sunday, an officer was called to Trumbull Regional Medical Center where a gunshot wound victim had been brought with what the police report described as a major injury.
The victim, a 25-year-old man, told police he didn’t want to talk to police about what happened.
On Monday, around 3 a.m., police were called to investigate reports of gunfire on the 1200 block of Robert Ave. NW.
Police found several shell casings.
Although no injuries were reported, three cars had been shot up.
