Warren man sentenced for violent Howland home intrusion

WARREN, Ohio - A Warren man has been sentenced for forcing his way into a Howland home and beating a man living there.
During a hearing in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court on Tuesday, 40-year-old Mick Robinson was given a four-to-six-year prison sentence.
Robinson, who pleaded guilty earlier to charges of burglary and felonious assault, was arrested in April after police were called to a reported disturbance at a home on the 7900 block of Anderson Ave. NE.
An officer reported hearing someone threatening to kill someone, and another voice pleading not to be hurt.
Going into the home through a sliding glass door, the officer says he found Robinson standing over the 21-year-old male victim who was on the floor.
After threatening to use a Taser on Robinson, officers placed the suspect in handcuffs.
The resident of the home told police that Robinson came to the home saying he wanted to get his daughter.
According to the police report, after failing to kick in the front door, Robinson forced the sliding glass door open and came inside, forcing the victim to the ground, slamming his head on the floor, and punching him as many as twenty times.
