NEWTON TWP, Ohio - A mother was arrested early Wednesday morning after her hearing impaired son was found wandering in Newton Township- again.

Laura Archer, 24, of Farrell was arrested by the Trumbull County Sheriff's Office on charges of endangering children after a neighbor found Archer's son outside alone.

The neighbor called police to the 100 block of Kings Drive in Newton Township just after 7:30 a.m. Wednesday morning. According to the report, she says that this is not the first time the boy has run from his home.

The deaf 6-year-old was found soaking wet, as if he had gone swimming, several houses away from his mother's residence.

Upon finding the boy, dispatch says the neighbor knocked at Archer's door. Nobody answered.

According to the report, the neighbor took the boy into her own home to feed him and keep him warm until police could get Archer to come out of her residence around 8:30 a.m.

Initial reports from Trumbull dispatch say that a call from July 24th shows Archer living at another Kings Drive residence, however, she is from Farrell, PA.

Archer is booked at the Trumbull County Jail.
