YOUNGSTOWN - The Beatitude House is requesting donations of back-to-school supplies in preparation for the new school year.

Items on their wish list include traditional school supplies, but also some more specific items such as 1 inch binders, plastic folders, book bags, spiral notebooks, notecards, book covers, pencil boxes, pens, colored pencils, highlighters, crayons, mechanical pencils, big block erasers, calculators, paper towels, sanitizing wipes, dry-erase markers, and loose leaf paper.

Those who wish to donate can drop off items in person, or have the option to buy online through an Amazon registry that can be accessed by clicking here.

Donations of gift cards such as Target or Walmart are also appreciated, and will be used to purchase other necessities like school clothes, shoes, socks, and underwear.

The Beatitude House is accepting donations at their 238 Tod Lane location in Youngstown during their business hours from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

They request all back-to-school donations be made before August 16th. 

The Beatitude House currently provides housing for 47 families. They also offer language and education services to immigrants through their Immigrant Outreach program, in addition to mentoring and providng financial aid to low-income students through their Ursuline Sister Scholars Program. The charity organization has served over 7,000 women and children to date.
