Beaver Twp. mom charged with child endangering four times in four months

A Beaver Township woman has been charged with child endangering for a fourth time in as many months after her nine-year-old son with autism was found walking alone along a highway.
Township Police arrested 37-year-old Esta Landis at her South Avenue home on Wednesday, five days after two people found her son walking along South Avenue near the Old School Marketplace after 9 p.m.
The boy returned home after hearing his mother call for him.
Landis told police that her son had gotten out of an SUV when she went inside their home to get some fruit snacks for him.
According to court records, Landis has previously been charged with child endangering for similar incidents on April 7, May 4, and June 24.
Earlier this month Landis was convicted on an amended charge of disorderly conduct. She was fined $100, given a 30 day suspended jail sentence, and placed on probation for a year.
Police say Children’s Services are reviewing the child’s case.
Landis has yet to appear in court on the latest child endangering charge.
