WARREN, Ohio - A Newton Falls man who told police he bought auto parts, lunch, and marijuana with money he robbed from a Warren bank is going to prison.
Charles Herald, 37, was handed a two-year sentence during a hearing in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court on Wednesday.
Herald, who pleaded guilty to a robbery charge in June, was arrested by Warren Police for robbing the TCF Bank in the Warren Plaza in December.
Police say Herald gave the teller a note and walked away with $2,800, which he spent on a bag of marijuana, lunch, and car parts.
