Woman arrested after incident at Boardman Walmart

BOARDMAN, Ohio - Boardman police were dispatched to Walmart at 10:33 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 7, regarding a shoplifter.
Upon arriving at the scene, police found the suspect, Karlibeth Snyder (31), with a Walmart security officer and a loss prevention officer attempting to flee security.
Police apprehended Snyder and escorted her to the loss prevention office. An investigation uncovered a glass crack pipe, a small clear baggie of heroin, and a piece of folded paper with an unknown white substance in it.
Snyder had been spotted switching price tags on items to get them for a cheaper price and placing several unpaid items in a bag at the self-checkout station.
Officers were advised of a white Buick in the Walmart parking lot. Donald Reed (41), the male driver, was with Snyder while she was inside the store.
Upon searching the vehicle, the investigation uncovered a glass crack pipe under the driver's seat, as well as a green case on the passenger side floorboard containing eight hypodermic needles, a spoon, a rubber tie-off, and a glass crack pipe. Snyder admitted that everything in the case belonged to her. Snyder also revealed a clear baggie of heroin hidden in her bra. Reed was placed under arrest for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Reed was processed and released on a summons with the charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Snyder was given a court date of Tuesday, Aug. 10, and was charged with theft, obstructing official business, resisting arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of drugs, and possession of drug abuse instruments.
