YOUNGSTOWN - If your power is out after storms that moved through the Valley late Wednesday morning, you aren’t alone.

FirstEnergy is reporting outages throughout its service area in northern Ohio and western Pennsylvania.

As of noon, the utility's website reported nearly 30,000 homes and businesses without power. More than 2,500 of those outages were in Mahoning, Trumbull, Columbiana, and Mercer Counties.

The utility usually tries to estimate when power will be restored.  However, because of the widespread damage from fallen trees and wires, they won't issue an estimated restoration time until later.

Fire departments have been dispatched throughout the valley to investigate reports of downed wires.
