Warren man accused of trying to stab mom with infected needle

WARREN, Ohio - A domestic violence charge has been filed against a Warren man accused of trying to stab his mother with a hypodermic needle possibly infected with hepatitis.
A 37-year-old woman told officers she and a 42-year-old man were in the woman’s car along with her 23-year-old son outside their Southern Boulevard apartment early Saturday when she got into an argument with her son.
The woman said the son, Nathen Butch, threatened to stab her and her friend with a hypodermic needle contaminated with Hepatitis-C. According to the police report, Butch was diagnosed with Hepatitis last year.
The mom said that Butch pulled a hypodermic needle from his bag and chased her and her friend around the apartment parking lot before he ran into the woods.
Police searched the area but were unable to find Butch.
