A Boardman barber college is giving students a lift of confidence before heading back to school.

Beyond Expectations Barber College is offering free haircuts.

The event runs Wednesday, August 25th from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. at 709 E. Midlothian location.

Walk-ins are welcome. This is the third year the barber college has offered the free event.

The director of the program says they are prepared to trim the hair of up to 200 students in need. He notes that since some schools have already started for the year, he anticipates an influx of students between the hours of 3 p.m. -5 p.m.

The college is also passing out donated school supplies, book bags and shoes.
