BOARDMAN TWP., Ohio - A long weekend of Greek culture, food, and fun is back in the Valley after taking a break last year due to the pandemic.

The St. John’s Greek Orthodox Church is hosting the annual Summer Greek Festival known as the Glendi.

Festivities get underway at 3 p.m. on Friday, August 27 at the church, 4955 Glenwood Avenue, Boardman.

The fun includes live entertainment on all three days of the event which runs through Sunday.

  • Saturday, August 28, 2021, Noon-6 p.m.
  • Sunday, August 29, 2021, Noon-6 p.m.

  • Vegetarian Stuffed peppers

  • Homemade Greek pastries

All orders will be taken on-site. All seating is outside under a tent. Carryout is available.

A Greek band will play Friday evening. Greek music and professional dancers are scheduled for Saturday evening and Sunday.
