Greek food, fun featured in Boardman this weekend
The fun includes live Greek music and dancing on all three days of the event which runs through Sunday.

BOARDMAN TWP., Ohio - A long weekend of Greek culture, food, and fun is back in the Valley after taking a break last year due to the pandemic.
The St. John’s Greek Orthodox Church is hosting the annual Summer Greek Festival known as the Glendi.
Festivities get underway at 3 p.m. on Friday, August 27 at the church, 4955 Glenwood Avenue, Boardman.
The fun includes live entertainment on all three days of the event which runs through Sunday.
Hours:
- Friday, August 27, 2021, 3-9 p.m.
- Saturday, August 28, 2021, Noon-6 p.m.
- Sunday, August 29, 2021, Noon-6 p.m.

- Lamb dinners
- Gyros
- Souvlaki
- Greek baked chicken
- Baked fish
- Vegetarian Stuffed peppers
- Pastitsio
- Calamari
- Spanakopita
- French fries
- Rice pudding
- Stuffed grape leaves
- Zog's honey puffs
- Homemade Greek pastries
- Greek beer
All orders will be taken on-site. All seating is outside under a tent. Carryout is available.
A Greek band will play Friday evening. Greek music and professional dancers are scheduled for Saturday evening and Sunday.
