YOUNGSTOWN - Power has been restored after hundreds of homes and businesses in eastern Mahoning County lost electricity early Sunday.
Shortly after 7:30 a.m., 3,974 outages were reported by FirstEnergy.
More than 2,700 of those outages were in Campbell and Youngstown. Nearly 38% of Campbell lost power.
Power was also out in parts of Coitsville, Lowellville, Poland and Struthers.
According to FirstEnergy, the outages were a result of a tree falling down onto wires in the area.
The tree was removed and power has since been restored.
