Warren teen still missing

WARREN, Ohio - Warren Police have issued a warning and announced a reward in hopes of finding a fourteen-year-old girl who has been missing for nearly a week.
Khush Riar was last seen on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at around 2 a.m. near the Warren/Howland area.
Family and friends of Riar led a search party at Perkins Park hoping to find her.
Riar's mother, who was too broken up to talk with 21 News on camera, says she just wants her home.
Riar's sister announced that an argument between Khush and their mother may have been a motive in her disappearance but they remain unsure.
They found a list of things to pack and noticed Khush's clothing missing.
"Never in a thousand years we thought that she would just you know, up and leave with all her stuff," said Sukhman Riar, Kush's older sister. "And especially because she's so young and she was just so good like you know, she was just a really good kid. we didn't really have any complaint of her, so this would be probably the first thing that she ever did that shook us," she said.
Those who organized the search party say they just want the Riar family to be the main highlight.
Law enforcement is hoping for the best but are prepared for anything.
"The longer she's not home, I mean, you know, the concern goes from just thinking maybe this is just a juvenile mistake and whoever she's with not contacting the police," said Daniel Mason with the Trumbull County Sheriff's Office. "And you know, whoever she's with, at this point is failing to report her or get her home is potentially moving into the criminal realm," he said.
The Warren Police Department has posted a message on its Facebook page asking anyone who knows where the teen is to contact police, bring her to the police station or her home.
The message also warns that anyone connected with the teen’s disappearance may be charged with abduction, obstruction of justice, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and interference with custody.
“The Warren Police Department will NOT tolerate individuals withholding information or harboring our missing children,” according to the message.
In addition, a reward is being offered for the arrest and conviction of anyone responsible for the girl’s disappearance or her safe return.
Anyone with information regarding the location of Riar is asked to contact Detective Altiere at 330-841-2749 or a message may be sent to the department’s Facebook page. Tipsters may remain anonymous.
