BOARDMAN, Ohio -
Carl Pelini, the brother of former YSU Coach Bo Pelini is accused of domestic violence following an incident involving his wife over the weekend.
During a 911 call from Coach Carl Pelini's daughter Sunday morning, you could hear a woman crying in the background. The girl described her mom's injuries after her dad drove off from their Boardman home around 2:30 a-m.
The 911 Dispatcher asked, Is her face okay? I mean like is she bleeding?
The daughter responded, "Her eye is bleeding, she has like a black eye."
The Dispatcher asked again, "Is she bleeding?
The daughter answered, "It's bleeding a little bit."
Police took pictures of Carl Pelini's wife and noticed blood on the kitchen floor.
She said they were highly intoxicated at the time and "it all happened so fast" ... "he just hit me".
Police tell 21 News Pelini is facing a charge of domestic violence.
The Head Coach of the Cardinal Mooney football team was placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigations and court process.
The Diocese is also investigating conduct by coach Pelini, who sources say was heated yelling inside the locker room, at his team Friday night after they lost their football game to Hubbard.
Monsignor John Zuraw says Pelini is a role model to students, he read and signed the Diocese Code of Conduct.
"The Diocese is praying for the individuals, that the right decision will come forward, and the necessary help will be achieved.

I think it's important to take it step by step as more information is realized, then comes to light, then necessary steps might warrant either dismissal, or basically how help can be sought," emphasized Monsignoir Zuraw.
Boardman's Police Chief Todd Werth tells 21 News Pelini is consulting with a defense attorney and they have discussed the process for turning himself in. Unless arrangements are made, police have the authority to arrest him.
We reached out to Mrs. and Mr Pelini to see if either of them or both of them wanted to make a statement, or if there was anything they want the community to know, but at this time we have not heard back from them.
