Reyers Shoe Store celebrated the Grand Opening of their new location.

After 135 years, the well-known shoe store closed it's doors in Sharon, PA and opened in the Eastwood Mall in Niles, Ohio.

According to Mark and Steve Jubelirer, the reason for the move was to increase foot and car traffic.

Mark said they spent a long time looking at Downtown Sharon and other areas in the Shenango Valley to help sustain their business, but after more research, they wanted to bring the store to Ohio.

The family-owned business is now in it's third-generation.

The store was originally founded in 1886 by German immigrant John Reyer, a cobbler, the little Reyers Shoe Store was then later handed down to his son Carl and in the early 1950's the shoe store was sold to the Jubelirer family from Pittsburgh.

The new store is be located in the JCPenney Concourse of the Eastwood Mall.

The store is open Monday - Saturday from 10am - 8pm and from 11am - 6pm on Sundays.
