Boardman local schools school hold Patriot Day Event

BOARDMAN, Ohio - Earlier today, Stadium Drive Elementary School had their annual Patriot Day Tree Planting Ceremony, which has been a tradition at the Elementary school.
More than 350 kindergarten through 3rd grade assembled outside the school for the tree planting ceremony that started at 8:45 a.m.
The Boardman High School pep band was also in attendance and provided music, while Boardman Fire and Police officers observed the event.
Stadium Drive Elementary planted a king maple tree that was donated by Blasco Commercial Services.
Boardman Center Intermediate School also took part in a Patriot Day event earlier today.
Principal Michael Masucci and 9 students representing grades 4 through 6 presented a framed historic print called "Walk of Courage" to the Boardman Fire Department in front of the Emergency Responders Memorial located at Fire Station #71 along Market Street.
