Convicted Valley killers included in execution reprieve from governor

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Ohio Governor, Mike DeWine has issued four reprieves of execution on Friday delaying the death sentences of four people. Two of these people are connected to the Mahoning Valley.
Theses reprieves were issued due to ongoing problems involving the willingness of pharmaceutical suppliers to provide drugs to the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (DRC) pursuant to DRC protocol without endangering other Ohioans.
Reprieves were issued for the following four people:
-Warren K. Henness - Originally set to be executed January 12, 2022 is now set to be executed December 17, 2024.
-Stanley T. Adams - Originally set to be executed February 16, 2022 is now set to be executed February 19, 2025.
-John E. Drummond - Originally set to be executed April 21, 2022 is now set to be executed April 16, 2025.
-James G. Hanna - Originally set to be executed May 18, 2022 is now set to be executed May 14, 2025.
John E. Drummond has been sitting on death row since 2004, convicted of murdering an infant in 2003. In 2019, Drummond's attorney filed a writ of certiorari for the U.S. Supreme Court to review his case, but this request was denied.
Stanley T. Adams also has ties to the Mahoning Valley. In 1999, Adams was convicted of killing three people including a 12-year-old girl which he raped.
This is not the first time Drummond's and Adams' executions have been delayed. Former Ohio Governor, John Kasich issued a reprieve for both Drummond and Adams in 2017 which delayed their executions to the 2022 dates.
