YOUNGSTOWN - Police were kept busy in Youngstown early Wednesday answering reports of gun violence

Shortly before 1 a.m., a man called dispatchers saying he had been shot by a passer-by while standing outside of an apartment on Eastway Drive on the city’s East Side.

Investigators say the victim was taken to Mercy Hospital with a shoulder wound and is in stable condition.

Police say they don’t have a suspect.

Not long after a patrol car was called to another report of gunfire on the South Side.

Police say a car was shot up on the 2000 block of Glenwood Avenue. No one was injured.
