Beau, who's led the Tigers to a 37-4 record in four seasons calls his decision gratifying.
"I'm going to a very good division one school and play high level football with a great team and coaching staff....I'm very thankful."
The younger Brungard says he's watched games of his father playing at YSU.
"What he did there was special and I'm very happy to follow in his footsteps."
Will Beau follow up with the success his father had at YSU?
"I've been very cautious about putting my expectations on him. I want him to be free and choose where God is leading him and the fact that it's YSU , I can let out I'm excited."
Although the high school football regular season is halfway over with this weeks games, Beau knows the chapter of his football career is not far off.
"I just love the game of football and I'm hoping to go there and make an impact. I'm going to work hard at practice everyday, meet a lot of new teammates and just do my best,:"
