Mount Carmel statues replaced after destruction in February
Most of the damaged statues are back up with the last few expected to return soon.
Our Lady of Mount Carmel church has replaced several statues that were damaged during a vandalism incident back in February.
Suspect Caleb Vancampen damaged a total of 16 statues at the church back in February costing thousands of dollars in damages.
Now most of the statues are back up with the last few statues expected to be delivered soon.
Vancampen is scheduled for another status hearing on Monday, Sept. 27 at 8:00 a.m. Heartland Behavioral Healthcare is working with Vancampen on mental health treatment.
