YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Local artist Ron Moore is back with another project. This time paying tribute to 22-year-old Gabby Petito with a portrait of her face.

Petito was declared missing months after setting out on a cross-country road trip with her boyfriend. Her body was found on Sunday near a camping area in Northern Wyoming along the border of Grand Teton National Park.

Upon hearing about Petito's disappearance and death, Moore went straight to work on a portrait in her memory.

Moore completed the Petito's portrait on Tuesday and is ordering an exact reproduction of the portrait so both of her parents can have their own copy.

Moore has been in contact with the Petito family's attorney and is currently making arrangement to ship the two portraits out to the family's address.

Moore says that Petito's death hit home for him as the father of a daughter.

"As a dad, I cannot imagine what Gabby's parents are experiencing. My prayer is that this will help bring some form of comfort to her parents," Moore said.
