COLUMBUS, Ohio - Columbia Gas of Ohio has announced the availability of its new mobile app on Wednesday on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

The app closely mirrors the functionality available on the company's website including bill payments, management of enrollments in paperless billing, autopay and budget plans, usage records and billing history.

According to the company's President & COO, Vince Parisi, customer experience is at the heart of what Columbia Gas of Ohio does and the company wants to ensure that customers can interact with them on their terms.

"Mobile apps offer another channel for customers to conveniently pay their bill and handle routine transactions," Parisi said.

The app also includes the new start, stop and move self-service feature. This feature was recently introduced on the company's website so customers no longer have to call to request these services.

Additionally, the company also elevated promotion of paperless billing, which encourages customers to view their bill online at their convenience.

"We are confident that this implementation will provide an enhanced experience for our customers, providing them with the ability to easily do business on their terms while we continue to improve our service delivery to them," Parisi said.

More new digital initiatives are planned for early 2022, including the launch of a Chatbot virtual assistant, as well as a Live Chat, which will allow customers to interact virtually with customer support team members.
