YOUNGSTOWN - The Mahoning County Coroner's office has identified the victim of a homicide on Youngstown's West Side early Monday morning as Brandon Leonelli (24)

Police responded to a report of gunshots and someone screaming found Leonelli's body on Youngstown’s West Side early Monday.

A 9-1-1 caller told a dispatcher that two shots were fired and a woman could be heard yelling on the 2400 block of Russell Avenue at around 3 a.m.

When officers arrived, they found Leonelli in the front yard of a home that is one street away from Stambaugh Charter Academy.

Police stretched crime scene tape across the road. 

Leonelli was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

No arrests have been made.

The Youngstown Police Department Detective Division, along with the Mahoning County Coroner's Office are investigating.
