TRUMBULL COUNTY, OH -

An Austintown man was sentenced to 35 years in prison in a Trumbull County Court Wednesday after pleading guilty to charges related to the 2018 rape of a three year old girl.

Daniel Parker pled guilty to charges of rape, pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor, and tampering with evidence after receiving a video of the rape of a three-year-old girl.

Parker was transferred to the Trumbull County Jail from a federal prison in Arizona, where he is currently serving more than 21 years in federal prison after being convicted of sexually exploiting children and receiving pictures of children engaged in sexual conduct.

The charges came after investigators say Parker received the video from Candis Wynn of Liberty. Wynn was sentenced for related charges earlier this month.

Assistant Trumbull County Prosecutor Gabe Wildman previously 21 News earlier that there is no way to convict someone of rape under federal law, so that is why the county pursued the local charges.

According to investigators, Parker also sent pornographic videos of children to Wynn.

The judge also ordered Parker to register as a tier-three sex offender.

This 35-year sentence will run concurrent with Parker's federal sentence.
