CANFIELD, Ohio - The Ohio School Boards Association (OSBA) recognized Campbell City Schools Superintendent, Matthew L. Bowen at their Northeast Region Fall Conference Tuesday Night.

Bowen was recognized as the Northeast Region Outstanding Superintendent. The Northeast OSBA represents districts throughout 19 counties in this region of Ohio.

During his remarks, Bowen referenced return on investment being a recipe for success.

"As a district, all board members, administrators and staff have made a significant investment in the students they serve. Seeing our students' increased participation and academic growth has been an incredible return on investment and we are all very proud," Bowen said.

Bowen has served as the district's superintendent since 2013 and has advocated for opportunities to support the ongoing growth and development of the whole child.

Bowen has held multiple leadership roles beyond just superintendent such as serving on multiple committees at the Ohio Department of Education, Buckeye Association of School Administors and other local organizations such as the Youngstown State University Beeghly College of Education's Professional Educational Council.

Bowen accepted this award on behalf of the entire school district stating that it does not belong to just one individual.

"This award does not belong to any one individual, rather it is being accepted on behalf of the entire board, administration, staff, students and community. Together, we make a difference," Bowen said.
