Warren City Schools are setting multiple protocols, procedures and expectations at varsity football games after receiving concerns about student behavior.

Each child in that age group will need to register at one of four tables that will be set up outside of Mollenkopf Stadium before entering games.

The accompanying adult will have to provide a phone number and sign in. The child will receive a wristband that must be worn throughout the duration of the game they are attending. Children will be forced to leave if their wristband is removed.

"These changes are being made so our loyal fans and WCS families can have an enjoyable game day experience supporting our WGH Raider Football TEAM, WGH Marching Band and Cheerleaders," said Warren Superintendent Steve Chiaro and Athletic Director Bill Nicholson in a joint statement. "We appreciate and expect your support in helping us achieve this goal for all of our students in the Warren City Schools."

Chiaro answered questions about specific reasons for the new policies.

"We have received complaints from loyal fans, some have been coming to games for fifty years," said Chiaro. "Our expectation has always been that kids come to games and sit with an adult and we are not seeing that, so we put protocols in place."

Warren G. Harding High School students are allowed to continue following the same procedures they have all season.
