A number of local treatment facilities are being impacted by the amount of displaced patients as a result of the federal raid on California Palms treatment center on Tuesday.

California Palms patients were given a list of other local treatment facilities they could contact since their treatment is being disrupted.

The facilities include:

Meridian Healthcare

New Day/New Path Recovery

Midwest Center

Neil Kennedy Recovery Center

"Today, we've experienced a lot of phone calls from patients and families in crisis, as well as some of our community partners in trying to find a safe place for those California Palms has been serving," said Dean Monteleone, Vice President of Ohio Operations with Neil Kennedy Treatment Center in Youngstown.

Monteleone told 21 News they've received over a dozen calls Tuesday from patients from California Palms and said after working with his team, they're able to assist every person who reached out to them.

"At this point, it looks like we are going to help all of the people for inpatient services and outpatients services so we are working on that process," Monteleone said.

Monteleone added bringing in a large group of clients at once can be overwhelming for both the center and the patients, so they created a staggered entry process to accommodate all California Palms clients.

New Day Recovery in Boardman told 21 News they received about five calls from patients who are affected by the California Palms raid on Tuesday.

An administrator at the facility said they want to support anyone who needs treatment and care and are looking at how they can continue to provide their services to current patients while being able to open to ones who may come over from California Palms.

Midwest Center in Austintown just recently opened their doors and hope to assist California Palms patients looking to transfer to a new facility.

Audrey Novotny, Director of Business Development at Midwest Center told 21 News they are already taking in California Palms patients and will take as many as they can.

"We pride ourselves on being accessible," Novtony said. "We're available 24/7, all day, everyday for admissions in our community."

She added that the facility is at a little over half capacity right now, but did not provide specific numbers.

"We're always here for the clients in our community," Novtony said.

The list provided to California Palms patients included behavioral health resources and medicinal treatment.
