NILES, Ohio - With winter approaching AAA will be hosting a free battery health check in Niles on Thursday, Oct. 21 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Niles AAA Branch Office (937 Youngstown-Warren Rd.).

Summer heat can degrade car batteries which makes them susceptible to failure in cold weather. AAA will check the health of the battery and conduct an electrical system check to determine if your battery can survive the cold.

If needed, batteries can be purchased on location.
