A charity pumpkin walk is now open in Poland
The Pumpkin Walk is open October 8th- 31st. The lights come on at sunset.
Last year, during the Covid-19 Pandemic, Tyler Hanes created what he calls a 'passion project.' The Poland man carved 160 foam pumpkins, filled them with lights and then invited the community to come and see them.
The event was such a success that Hanes is once again opening the Pumpkin Walk, but this time there will be even more pumpkins to see and any donations will be given to the Mahoning County Special Olympics.
New pumpkins are added nightly. And, by October 15th Hanes says there will be almost 400 pumpkins in the display. Each pumpkin he carves himself.
The Pumpkin Walk is open October 8th- 31st. The lights come on at sunset.
The visit is free, but anyone who chooses to make a donation will be entered into a raffle to win one of the pumpkins from the display.
The display is handicap accessible and located at 7063 Poland Center Drive.
