CANTON, Ohio - Amazon has unveiled plans to bring 1,000 jobs to a new warehouse about 12 miles west of Columbiana County.
The Ohio Governor’s office announced on Tuesday that the internet-based retailer plans to build a one-million-square-foot fulfillment center in Canton.
The center will open next year at 3550 Columbus Road NE in Stark County.
According to a news release from the state, Amazon will offer an average starting wage of $18 per hour along with health benefits, paid time off, and up to 20 weeks of fully paid parental leave.
