YOUNGSTOWN - A 29-year-old woman is under arrest after Youngstown Police say she led officers on a half-hour-long chase through the city.

Trinity Star Brown was booked into the Mahoning County jail Thursday morning on a charge of failing to comply with a police order.

Police say Brown was driving the car fled from a routine traffic stop along Mahoning Avenue on the West Side shortly before 2 a.m. Thursday.

The pursuit led police along I-680 before entering neighborhoods on the East Side and the Northside. The driver switched off the car’s headlights which at one point was moving 70 miles per hour along Belmont Avenue.

The car’s tires were shredded spike strips that police had placed at a couple of intersections.

The pursuit ended at 2:30 am when the car stopped at Ford and Lora Avenues.

Brown was arrested. Another woman in the car was not charged.
