Youngstown comic fans gathering for expo on Saturday

Comic lovers can unite at the Days Inn on Clarkins Drive in Austintown Saturday afternoon.
The Youngstown Indie Comics Expo is hosting their fifth anniversary show from noon to 6 p.m. in the hotel's community room.
Guests include Youngstown's own Craig Latchaw who has designed artwork at the West Side Bowl and also has a comic book called Galactic Man. Manga and vampire fans can also meet Vesenia Lindsay who created the comic Celestial Pulse, and Bob Corby, founder of the SPACE independent show in Columbus, Ohio.
Children can also show of their art skills by taking part in the event's coloring contest.
The show is free to the public after last year's event was canceled to due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Following along with safety protocols, the show will have hand sanitizer available and is encouraging non-vaccinated attendees to wear masks.
The expo was created by a group of friends who made comic books in their free time and wanted to host an event to sell the content they produced over time.
