Struthers raises rental fees for Mauthe Park, adds credit card payment option

STRUTHERS, Ohio - For the first time in 15 years, the City of Struthers is raising rental fees for the Multipurpose Room and Rotary Pavilion at Mauthe Park.
According to Struthers Mayor, Catherine Cercone Miller, the city is "adapting to the times." Miller says prices are increasing all around and workers need to be paid.
The new fees went into effect on Thursday, Oct. 14, however any reservations made before the price increase will be honored at their original prices.
In addition, the city is now accepting credit card payments for rentals as well as other services such as permits and registration fees due to popular demand. The online booking has been available since February and has seen an enormous positive response.
Credits cards are also now required to be placed on file in order to book the Multipurpose Room or the Rotary Pavilion.
The card will not be charged unless authorized by the renter, but will be kept on file and used for any applicable fees such as cleaning or damages.
Rental prices have increased by $15 and prices for additional hours and police officers have increased by $5. The new fees are as follows:
-Multipurpose Room - Resident (up to six hours): $200
-Multipurpose Room - Non-resident (up to six hours): $225
-Rotary Pavilion - Resident: $75
-Rotary Pavillion - Non-resident: $100
-Additional hours for Multipurpose Room: $30
-Struthers police officer (required if serving alcohol in Multipurpose Room) $30
