Fudgy vs. Chewy vs. Cakey Brownies…What’s the difference?
- Fudgy and chewy brownies use twice as much butter as cakey ones and butter and chocolate are melted together, not creamed like with cakey brownies
- Chewy brownies uses ¼ cup more flour than fudgy brownies (this recipe is fudgy)
- Cakey brownies cream together butter sugar and eggs, which is a different method from their fudgy brownie relative.
Other Pro Tips
- Use boxed brownie mix to save time
- Add your favorite chocolate candies to the brownies to make them more festive
- Add your favorite frosting to the brownies for a different flavor profile
- Cut into individual squares and put in individual treat bags
