Vacant home burns to ground in New Castle
It happened at a home at the corner of Mulberry Street and Erie Street.

NEW CASTLE, Pa. - A fire broke out at a vacant home in New Castle Saturday morning around 4 a.m.
It happened at a home at the corner of Mulberry Street and Erie Street.
Neighbors said noise from the fire awakened them and they saw the house completely in flames.
When the fire department arrived, the house had almost completely burned to the ground.
The power company was called to disconnect power after utility lines burned and fell to the ground.
Neighbors said the home had been empty for about six months.
The city fire investigator is looking into the cause of the fire.
