Meijer extends teacher discount to the end of school year

Department store chain, Meijer will be extending its teacher discount until the end of the 2021-2022 school year.
Teachers spend roughly $750 of their own money on school supplies per school year, and 30% of teachers spend over $1,000 or more. 95% of teachers say their classroom supply budget is not enough to meet student's needs this year.
That's why for the remainder of the school year, Meijer will be giving all teachers 15% off purchases of classroom essentials such as paper, pencils, crayons, Post-it Notes, hand sanitizer and much more.
"We understand the need to restock the essentials is especially great as [teachers] return to classroom learning and face the potential changes this year may bring," said May Graceffa, Director of Back-to-School Merchandising for Meijer.
"Our goal is to help teachers in communities across the Midwest shop with confidence whenever they need to refill suppliers," Graceffa said.
All teachers need to bring is their teacher's ID card to get their discounts. The discount is only valid for in-store purchases. Some restrictions may apply.
