Some officers of the Goshen Police District in Mahoning County have put away their razors this month for a good cause.

Six members of the department and a trustee are taking part in No Shave November to raise funds for Tara Wittensoldner who is battling breast cancer.

According to the police department’s Facebook page, Chief John Calko, School Resource Officer Anthony Pilolli, Detective Ryan McBride, Lt. Matt Beck, Sgt. Kevin Ragan, Sgt. James Dubiel, and Trustee John Bricke are looking for people to sponsor their efforts with a one-time donation.

According to the American Cancer Society, every November for the past ten years, No-Shavers have donated the cost of grooming and helped non-profit organizations raise over $10 million for cancer prevention, education, and research.

You can find more information about those taking part and how to become a sponsor on the Goshen Police Department’s Facebook page.
