Man accused of fondling customer at Warren store

WARREN, Ohio - A Warren man has pleaded not guilty to charges filed after he allegedly fondled a woman who was shopping at a convenience store.
A 29-year-old woman told police she was buying pop at a store at West Market Street and Iowa Avenue Thursday night when a stranger walked up from behind and grabbed her buttocks.
When the woman yelled “Don’t touch me!”, she said the man laughed and told her she had a great body before touching her some more.
The woman says she hurried out of the store where her boyfriend and his daughter were waiting in a car.
When the boyfriend got out of the car, he said the suspect pulled a knife. The boyfriend told police he pulled out his own knife and the suspect ran away.
The couple flagged down a police officer and led him to Hamilton Street and Nevada Avenue where the officer spotted 37-year-old Joshua Wilson.
The officer said that he tried to remove a kitchen knife in Wilson’s pocket and struggled with the suspect until a second officer could arrive and help make the arrest.
Wilson was arraigned in municipal court on Friday, pleading not guilty to charges of sexual imposition, aggravated menacing, carrying a concealed weapon, and resisting arrest.
Another hearing for Wilson is set for November 16.
