WBCB, The Valley’s CW, will televise the Missouri Valley Football Conference game between Youngstown State University and the University of North Dakota this Saturday, November 6, 2021.  The game will begin at 1:00 p.m., live from Grand Forks, North Dakota.

North Dakota (3-5, 1-4 MVFC) lost in the final seconds at Missouri State last week, 32-28.  YSU (2-5, 1-4) was beaten at home, 47-16, by 9th ranked South Dakota State.

YSU is led by head coach Doug Phillips who is in his second season.  North Dakota's head coach, Bubba Schwiegert, is in his eighth.

The teams have only played twice before – in 1961 and 1962 – with the Fighting Hawks winning both games over the Penguins.  They were scheduled to play during the spring season, but that game was canceled.

YSU RB Jaleel McLaughlin continues to rank 2nd in the MVFC rushing stats.  The senior has amassed 780 yards on the ground for an average of 111.4 per game.  He has also scored 8 touchdowns.  As a team, the Penguins also rank 2nd with 220.3 yards per game.  North Dakota QB Tommy Schuster has thrown for 231.4 yards per contest, good for 4th in the conference.
