AUSTINTOWN, Ohio -
A sold out fundraiser in Austintown will help those students and their families who struggle to buy school lunches on a daily basis.

The Austintown Food Service Department served up their classic creamed turkey dinner. It's been a favorite in Austintown for years and obviously a great draw for this fundraiser.

"We sold out within 72 hours. So without even trying to really advertise to put the word out there the Austintown community responded," said Alexis Weber, Food Service Director.

It's estimated that $9 thousand will go towards students' meal debt from this fundraiser. A school spokesperson said, the district has about $11 thousand dollars in student meal debt.
