Amber alert canceled, girl found safe, alleged abductor charged

As of 9:52 p.m. the Amber Alert regarding Grace Burke (5) has been canceled. Burke was found safe in Illinois.

CANTON, Ohio - An Amber Alert issued for a missing Canton, Ohio girl was canceled late Friday, and the man accused of abducting her is in jail.

Authorities say five-year-old Ana Grace Burke was found unharmed in Illinois with her alleged kidnapper, 36-year-old Jonathan Stinnet of Massilon, Ohio.

Stinnett, who is being held in the McLean County Detention Facility in Bloomington, Illinois, faces charges of kidnapping, abduction, and interference with custody filed in Stark County.

The alert was issued Friday for the Canton area girl who authorities believed may have been in danger.

Ana Grace Burke had last been seen in Canton shortly after 6 p.m. Thursday at a Goodwill store on Fulton Drive NW in Canton.

The Jackson Township Police Department said that Burke was believed to be with Stinnett.
