WARREN, Ohio - Warren Fire Department Inspection Captain, Al Brown has died on Tuesday, Nov. 16.

The announcement comes from a statement posted on Facebook Wednesday evening from Warren Professional Firefighters Local 204.

The statement posted by Local 404 reads as follows:

"It is with profound sadness that the Warren Professional Firefighters Local 204 announces the passing of Captain Al Brown. Captain Brown served the citizens of Warren from September 25 1990 until his untimely passing on November 16 2021."

"Captain Brown has served in many roles in the fire department, most recently as the Inspection Captain on Turn 2. Captain Brown's reputation as a great firefighter was complimented by his role as a leader and educator throughout his career in Warren Fire."

"In addition, Captain Brown served as an Instructor, in which he contributed to the training of hundreds of Firefighters and Fire Offices currently serving around the State of Ohio today."

"Captain Brown while always providing great leadership and wonderful intellectual stimulation conversation, will forever be fondly remembered by his brothers and family at the Warren Fire Department for his warm and always pleasant smile."

"Captain Brown leaves behind his beautiful wife and wonderful children. We ask that the public respect their privacy in their time of loss. Arrangements are pending at this time."

Brown has served the City of Warren since September of 1990 serving many roles over the years.
