Soon, you'll be seeing less and less Indians merchandise in stores.

As Guardians merchandise is now available online at MLBshop.com, stores throughout Northeast Ohio will soon be selling the new branding starting the week of November 22.

"Definitely, there's mixed reaction from customers," said Andy Agona, Store Manager with Sports Obsession at Eastwood Mall. "Some people are ready for the change, they're just go with the flow. A lot of people are just not happy about it."

Agona told 21 News once Guardians gear hits the shelves next week, what's left of the Indians won't be reordered.

"We're starting to run out," Agona said. "Anything with Chief Wahoo on it is starting to go quick."

"The merchandise won't last for long," Agona added. "It'll probably start to go ever quicker but we hope to have it for as long as we can."

Sports Obsession employees have heard mixed reactions about the merchandise but they expect the sales rates will be comparable to Indians gear.

"We hope it'll sell pretty quickly," Agona said. "Especially right off the bat people are really nostalgic about the name change."

Sports Obsession will start getting in the basics, including hats and sweatshirts next week.

More merchandise should be available throughout the 2021 holiday season.
